Just Trying to Fit in…

We’ve been having some difficulty fitting in… to those clothes that we once wore comfortably.  So we’ve decided it’s time to do something about that.

Since moving into this RV life, 3 years ago, we’ve gradually put on the pounds… about 20-25 pounds!  It’s not that we eat a lot of junk food or even eat dessert very often … we really eat quite healthy.  It’s more likely the Happy Hour’s and Brewery visits and… lets face it… most RVer’s like to drink!  It’s always 5:00 somewhere!  And we have found that in the RV life, Happy Hours start earlier and earlier, or go later and later.

Before RV life, we had a treadmill at our house, and Jeff used that every day for at least an hour a day.  But that’s not something we could bring with us!

Then on our first year out we did a lot of walking and hiking… we got plenty of exercise.  But then it was one thing after the other with Jeff’s feet… or ankle… or toe!  So we haven’t been able to do nearly as much walking or hiking as we would like.

We're aware of some things that we need to change, and we are working on that.  Of course, things that we need to change aren't usually easy... but we just know we're soon to be encouraged!

My question to my fellow RVer’s is…
What do YOU do to stay healthy and fit?

  1. Happy Hours are a killer.

I have a membership at Anytime Fitness. They are all over the US and open 24 hours a day. Paul drops me off and then he goes and does his hour walk.

It is much more difficult for me to keep off weight when we are traveling than when we are in our home.

  2. I have a hard time keeping my weight down myself. Louise on the other hand works out in the rv for 45 mins. a day, walks 2 miles then swims, when pool available, for 45 mins a day. I guess I need to get more into working out myself.

Many diseases are caused when our body is not in the correct balance.

Nowadays, maintaining a balance with our busy lifestyles can be quite challenging. The quality of foods, a variety of diets and supplements can be overwhelming.

What we need first and foremost is a balanced diet that is more alkaline than acidic. That way our organs will function properly, and our skeletal health will remain strong.

Nature has provided us with a humble little seed, the quinoa, which is a powerhouse of nutrients. Queens Quinoa- Grain & Flour is the first naturally grown grain that can help us to maintain an excellent health.
