Enjoying our first day at Santa Rosa Lake Campground

It was windy today, as forecasted... but not so windy that we couldn't enjoy the day.

We went for a 3 mile walk on the shoreline trail...

Jeff did some leather work...

We went for a bicycle ride...

After dinner, we played some Mexican Train.  Four games... and Jeff won every one!!

Then we settled in for some television...

Hello Santa Rosa!

We left Albuquerque at Noon, and drove 130 miles East on I-40 to Santa Rosa.  We are staying at the Santa Rosa Lake Campground...  our first stay back at New Mexico State campgrounds.  Hopefully we will be settled here for 10-14 days.  I say hopefully, because we are in a reservable site, but with the campground permit, we have to reserve by phone, and reservations are closed on the weekend.  So... someone can go online and reserve this space, before I get the chance on Monday morning.  Whatever will be... will be.

It's very windy today, and the forecast for tomorrow is windy, and the forecast for monday is very windy... 41mph with gusts to 62+mph.  Yee Haw!  Wind isn't in the forecast after Monday... we'll see.
