We have been here at the Prineville Reservoir SP for a month now, and have less than a week remaining. We've really enjoyed our time here... despite the disappointing dreary weather. As usual, we've made many friends, but what's been really special is having family come to visit.
The weekend of the 13th, the grandaughters came for a visit... and they brought their parents!
Friday evening was Spaggetti night. Then we roasted marshmallows over the campfire.
Saturday we had a 2011 Birthday Party for the girls. It was alot of fun for all, and a great excuse for cake and ice cream!
It started raining just as we were finishing up. So we all came inside... all EIGHT of us! Fortunately, the birthday gifts included crafts, so the girls were happy to sit at the table and make bracelets and paint.
Saturday evening we had a barbeque and camp fire up at the cabin, but it got very cold and breezy and rainy, so this didn't last long. But the food was good! The meal even included some tasty fresh trout caught by a neighbor and fried up by Rick.
We came back to our place where it was warm and there was a TV and Movies. When the night was over and it was time to go home (to their cabin), Journey decided she wanted to stay with us. We had a great time. She and I played cards until late, ate popcorn, and watched a little TV.
Okay... That is PART 1. My connection is so slow, this took a long time to post. I will post PART 2 tomorrow.
Not sure where this one fits in... just a warning... Don't get too distracted while you're preparing to wash dishes!
You do like your suds, don't you? ;) Sounds like you've had a great time despite the dreary weather.
